Marshall Soaring Club

If you're interested in learning to fly Gliders, or if you're just interested in taking a ride in one, it's available here at Brooks Field in Marshall, Michigan.
Operations take place on weekends (weather permitting) from May through October.

We'll have our cell phone on the runway if we're flying, and if we're not (because of weather, etc.), there will be a recorded message. Call us at (517) 231-0085 to confirm our schedule.

Glider Rides - Gift Certificates

We offer Glider rides to the public. A flight with a release from 3,000 feet above Marshall will last about 20 - 30 minutes, and the cost is $70.

Learn to Fly

As an affiliated chapter of the Soaring Society of America, we're pleased to partipate in the FAST - Fly A Sailplane Today - program. The FAST package can be purchased from SSA and is a great value at $99, and you can redeem your flight training voucher at Marshall Soaring Club. With your purchase you will receive:
  • Two introductory Flight lessons including preliminary Ground instruction.
  • A copy of the FAA Glider Flying Handbook.
  • A glider pilot logbook.
  • An introductory 3 month membership in the Soaring Society of America, including one copy of the monthly magazine Soaring.
